The Research Centre South Campus was founded by the University of Kashmir in April, 2021. This Centre is meant for research in Languages, Business Studies, Computer Sciences and Educational Studies. As a freestanding centre headed by the senior most faculty member of the campus, it will strive to conduct original and updated research in various disciplines. The researchers and the scholars will come from diverse backgrounds ranging from Computer Sciences, Management, Teacher Education, and Engineering for conducting research which has an academic and societal relevance.

Objectives:

• To be a state-of-the-art research centre and cater to diverse areas of contemporary research.
• To support multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research across different fields of study.
•  To design and provide a platform for quality research by adhering to the highest ethical standards and professional practices.

•  To hold centre, staff, and scholars to the highest standards of professionalism and integrity for meeting the challenges which emerge due to the changes present in the current Knowledge Society.
• To be committed, focused and a strong hub of all research activities particularly in this campus and in general within the university.
• To serve as a resource and provide support for basic and applied research within the university.
• To work and collaborate with other premier national and international research institutes of great repute and to carve its own niche on the research map of the university.
