Anantnag, April 26: University of Kashmir's South Campus, Anantnag, on Friday organized a series of activities under the Systematic "Voter' Education and Electoral Process" (SVEEP) campaign to promote electoral awareness among students. 
 
The event, witnessed an overwhelming participation from both boys and girls, who participated in various sports activities including Cricket, Badminton, Carrom, and Table Tennis.
 
 
The main objective of the event was to sensitize and educate first-time voters about the importance of exercising their franchise in the world's largest democracy and making their vote count.
 
 
The activities were conducted under the directions of Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Nilofer Khan and Registrar, Prof. Naseer with a view to take SVEEP campaign to every nook and corner of the University of Kashmir, Srinagar.
 
The students participated with great enthusiasm and exuberance. The event provided an excellent platform for students to actively engage in electoral awareness activities while enjoying sports and recreational activities.
 
University of Kashmir, Srinagar along with its satellite Campuses are committed to promote electoral awareness and empowering students to become responsible citizens of the country. The students pledged to participate in the electoral process and encouraging their peers to take part in the festival of elections with national pride.
 
Director, South Campus, Prof. Raies Ahmad Qadri emphasized the significance of casting votes in the ensuing general elections of 2024.
 
 He urged the students to exercise their democratic right with responsibility and diligence, thereby contributing to the democratic process of the nation.
 
Assistant Director, Physical Education and Programme Officer, NSS, Tausif Ahmad Bhat highlighted the objectives of the SVEEP campaign (2022-2025) in detail and underscored the role of students in shaping the future of the Nation through their voting decisions.

Furthermore, Dedicated Selfi points stand established at South Campus, Anantnag. Young voters are taking selfies with grit, determination, enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. First time voters pledged to exercise their franchise in the world's largest democracy. Students and employees are being mobilised and educated in tune with the objectives of SVEEP(2022-2025) by attaining 75% voter turnout in ensuing General Elections to Lok Sabha 2024.
