Dr. Showkat Ahmad Rather, born in Chandgam: a hamlet in District Pulwama of Jammu and Kashmir. He pursued M.A (Education) and M.Ed. from Post graduation Department of Education, University of Kashmir. He did his Doctorate in Education from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Besides that he pursued masters in English. He started his career as a lecturer in a Teacher Training college. He had also worked as Principal in an Elementary Teacher Training College. Presently he is working in the capacity of a faculty member at South Campus, University of Kashmir. His fields of interest are Information and Communication Technology in Education, Research Methodology and educational Technology. He has participated in various seminars and conferences organized by different agencies. He has published various research papers in diverse journals of national and international repute. He is working as an editor of a renowned journal.
