Dr Shabir Hussain Ganaie (Pen Name: Shabir Magami) joined the department in 2013 as Assistant Professor. He has a doctorate degree from AMU in the area of comparatrive studies. The title of his PhD theisis was Spiritual Revival and Social Rebellion in William Blake and Kahlil Gibran: A Comparative Study. He teaches diverse courses including Romantic and Victorian Poetry, Poetry from Chaucer to Shakespeare, Linguistics, New Literatures in English and  Contemporary Poetry. He is a well known kashmiri language poet and translator.
