Center For Information Technology & Support System (IT&SS)

The Center for Information Technology and Support Systems (IT&SS) is the digital backbone of South Campus, playing a central role in building and maintaining the campus’s ICT infrastructure. From software development and network management to hardware support and IT training, the center ensures that the academic and administrative functions of the campus run efficiently and seamlessly.

One of the flagship achievements of the center is the complete in-house development of the South Campus website and associated web portals. These systems host a range of online services including modules for transport management, admissions, issuance of No Objection Certificates (NOCs), and more. The portal also features a dedicated Hostel Management System, streamlining hostel-related services for students and administrators alike. These digital services have significantly reduced paperwork and processing time for both students and administrative staff.

Every student and staff member has a secure, personalized user profile on the portal, which serves as a one-stop access point for various academic and administrative services. This centralized access enhances transparency, efficiency, and convenience for all users.

The IT&SS Center has also developed a state-of-the-art Library Management System, tailored specifically for the Central Library at South Campus. Designed to be user-friendly and feature-rich, the system offers functionality comparable to leading commercial library software, supporting catalog management, circulation, user accounts, and advanced search tools.

In addition, the center has built a robust Inventory Management System to track and manage campus assets with precision. This tool is designed for efficiency, transparency, and ease of use—supporting procurement, allocation, auditing, and lifecycle tracking of equipment and supplies.

Beyond development and infrastructure, IT&SS is actively involved in providing ICT-related support and training across departments. Whether it’s configuring hardware, resolving software issues, managing networks, or offering guidance on digital tools, the center ensures that the campus community stays connected and digitally empowered.

The Center for IT&SS continues to innovate, enabling a smarter, more connected academic environment that supports teaching, learning, research, and administration. IT&SS remains committed to advancing the technological landscape of South Campus through continuous innovation, system upgrades, and the adoption of cutting-edge technologies that support academic excellence and administrative efficiency.
