Institute of Paramedical Sciences Celebrates Medical Laboratory Professionals Week
The Institute of Paramedical Sciences, University of Kashmir South Campus, recently concluded a successful two-day celebration of Medical Laboratory Professionals Week (MLPW) from April 23-24, 2025. This annual event, themed "Labs Save Lives," highlights the critical role laboratory professionals play in healthcare.
During the celebration, participants engaged in interactive sessions, hands-on training, and activities designed to enhance communication, teamwork, and professionalism in healthcare. The event aimed to generate awareness and excitement about the laboratory medicine profession among students, healthcare colleagues, and local communities.
On the second day, the focus shifted to raising awareness about waterborne and communicable diseases, emphasizing the importance of laboratory professionals in disease prevention and management. Through this initiative, the Institute underscored the vital contributions of lab professionals in saving lives and advancing healthcare.
By celebrating MLPW, the Institute continues to promote appreciation for the essential work performed by laboratory professionals, inspiring the next generation of lab technicians and healthcare professionals.
