Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Visits South Campus – Inaugurates New Guest House and Reviews Ongoing Projects
The Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Prof. Nelfor Khan visited the South Campus on 14 October 2025 to review ongoing infrastructure projects, inaugurate newly developed facilities, and interact with students and faculty members.
The visit was also attended by Registar Prof. Naseer Iqbal, Dean Research Prof. M. Sultan Bhat, Dean Academic Affaris Prof. Shariefuddin Pirzada, Controller of Examinations Dr. Majid Zaman, and Joint Registrar (Budget) Dr. Ashfaq Ahmed Zarri whose presence reflected the University’s coordinated approach towards holistic institutional growth and progress.
During the visit, the Vice-Chancellor inaugurated the newly established Guest House, a significant addition to the campus infrastructure aimed at improving hospitality and accommodation facilities for visiting faculty and guests.
The Vice-Chancellor also inspected the ongoing construction of the Boys’ Hostel and Teaching Quarters, where detailed updates were provided regarding the progress, timelines, and future development plans.
As part of the visit, the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor visited various academic departments and interacted with students, discussing their academic experiences and suggestions for campus development.
The Director, South Campus, presented a comprehensive overview of the campus’s recent achievements and milestones. The presentation also covered current challenges faced by the campus and the measures being undertaken to address them.
Later, the Vice-Chancellor met with newly appointed faculty members, encouraging them to actively engage in teaching, research, and community initiatives, thereby contributing to the academic excellence of the University.
The Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor appreciated the efforts of the South Campus administration, faculty, and staff for their commitment towards academic growth and infrastructure development. The visit marked an important step towards fostering continued progress and collaboration across the University.
