BLS Training Programme Conducted under Seva Parv Initiative 2025 at Institute of Nursing, University of Kashmir (South Campus)

The Institute of Nursing, University of Kashmir, South Campus successfully conducted a Basic Life Support (BLS) Training Programme under the Seva Parv Initiative 2025. The event was organized under the guidance of the Prof. Waseem Bari, Director, South Campus, University of Kashmir, and aimed at enhancing life-saving skills among students and community members.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of the Institute of Nursing as well as from Government Degree College for Women Anantnag, Government Degree College for Boys Anantnag, Government Degree College Kulgam, Government Degree College Bijbehara, and Government Degree College Mattan.
The training sessions were led by Mr. Ab. Rouf Bhat and Mr. Junaid Ahmad Bhat, both INC-certified Simulation Trainers, who demonstrated essential emergency interventions including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and first-response management in life-threatening situations.
The faculty of the Institute of Nursing actively facilitated the sessions, ensuring that the students received hands-on training and practical exposure. Their involvement was crucial in bridging classroom learning with real-world application, making the programme both interactive and impactful.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Muhammad Iqbal Bhat highlighted the significance of such initiatives in preparing students to serve as first responders within healthcare systems and the community.
Certificates of participation were distributed at the conclusion of the programme. The event was widely appreciated for its practical relevance, community orientation, and contribution to strengthening emergency response preparedness in the region.
