Week Long Entrepreneurial Training Program and Promotion of Startup Culture Commences at KU's South Campus.
A week- Long Entrepreneurial Training Program and Promotion of Startup Culture commenced on Friday here at Kashmir University's South campus Anantnag.
The Entrepreneurial Training Programme will cover a comprehensive range of topics, including idea generation, business planning, market research, financial management, marketing strategies, and pitching techniques. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with industry experts, successful entrepreneurs, and mentors who will provide valuable insights and guidance throughout the programme.
The Entrepreneurial Training Programme was inaugurated by Shri. Altaf Ahmed Khan, IPS, Deputy Inspector General of Police, South Kashmir, Range, Anantnag, who was chief guest on the occasion, while as Prof. Mohd Shafi was a Guest of Honor.
The inaugural session witnessed a remarkable participation from teachers, young entrepreneurs, and students of the campus.
The training programme is being organised by Department of Management Studies, South campus Anantnag.
In his welcome address, Director South campus, Prof. Raies Ahmad Qadri formally welcomed all the guests, speakers, Academic coordinators, teaching, non teaching staff, Research scholars and students.
While giving the opening remarks, he said that Campus is envisaging to conduct more events of its kind in future for the students and budding entrepreneurs with a view to hone their entrepreneurship skills
Prof. Raies added that there is a pressing demand from the young entrepreneurs to hold workshops on regular basis inorder to up skill their entrepreneurship abilities to their best potential.
In his address, Shri. Altaf Ahmed Khan, IPS emphasized the importance of promoting startups at a global level to connect our youth with the world.
He asserted that by engaging youth in entrepreneurial activities, we can channelize their youthful energy towards nation-building activities and capacity-building programs, thereby contributing to the overall development of our country.
Khan, further highlighted the correlation between entrepreneurship and policing, emphasizing the role of entrepreneurs as change-makers and problem solvers within society.
Prof. Shafi provided an overview of the entrepreneurial landscape and discussed measures to enhance entrepreneurship among university students.
Prof. Shafi encouraged students to explore their entrepreneurial potential and shared valuable insights on how to start their own ventures.
He emphasized the importance of innovation, creativity, and resilience in the entrepreneurial journey.
Earlier, Academic Coordinator, Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Parray gave a detailed account of the 5- day training programme.
On day first, Fayaz Ahmad Dar, an award-winning Ecological Entrepreneur and founder of Sagg Eco Village, Author, and High-Performance Mindset Coach, conducted two sessions viz, Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Business Enterprise Management and Developing an Entrepreneurial Mindset.
The proceedings of the inaugural session were conducted by Dr. Gousia while as, Dr. Asima extended delivered a vote of thanks.
