International Nurses Day is celebrated every year on May 12 th . It acknowledges the hard work, dedication, and compassion of nurses in providing care across all levels of healthcare.
This year International Nurses Day 2025 was also celebrated at University of Kashmir, South Campus with zest and zeal. In this event both the scientific and cultural activities were included.
The program started with the university Tarana and welcome address given by Mr. Ab. Rouf Bhat the Academic Coordinator institute of nursing, University of Kashmir, South Campus.
The Director south campus Prof. Waseem Bari addressed the gathering , appreciated both the faculty and nursing students of the institute and acknowledged the pivotal role of nurses in the health care delivery system. The Chief Guest on the occasion Ms. G. Somalini, Pricipal, School of Nursing, John Bishop Memorial Hospital and V Yamuna Rani vice principal School of Nursing, John Bishop Memorial Hospital Anantnag shared their wisdom and shed light on the theme, “Our Nurses, Our Future. Caring for Nurses Strengthening economies.’’ The event concluded with vote of thanks given by Mr. Junaid Ah. Bhat, Tutor institute of nursing , University of Kashmir, South Campus.
