Anantnag, May 8:  South Campus, Anantnag on Wednesday organized a grand yoga session as part of countrywide Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Process campaign. 
 
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty, non-teaching staff, and students, who attended with great enthusiasm and exuberance.
 
The yoga session was conducted in tune with the theme of International Day of Yoga 2024, “Yoga for Women Empowerment," focusing on promoting the well-being and empowerment of girl students at South Campus. 
 
The event aimed to raise awareness about the benefits of yoga, particularly for women's empowerment and holistic health.
 
 Director, South Campus, Prof. Raies Ahmad Qadri emphasized the importance of yoga as a way of life and encouraged students to incorporate yoga into their daily routines for greater benefits.
 
 He further highlighted the transformative power of yoga in promoting physical and mental well-being, as well as its role in nurturing women's empowerment.
 
Assistant Director, Physical Education, Tausif Ahmad Bhat, underscored the significance of yoga in empowering women in the current times. 
 
He emphasized the role of yoga in building resilience, confidence, and self-esteem among women, thereby enabling them to navigate challenges and fulfill their potential.
