The International Women's Day celebration was held on March 10, 2025, at the Auditorium Hall, South Campus. The event was organized by the Assistant Dean of Students' Welfare to honor and recognize the achievements and contributions of women in various fields.
The Guest of Honor, Professor Dr. Shabnum Ara Qazi, Principal of GDC Mattan, delivered an inspiring speech emphasizing the significance of gender equality, women's empowerment, and their role in shaping society.
Additionally, Dr. Irfana Rashid, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies, delivered a thought-provoking lecture on the hurdles a successful woman faces in different spheres of life. She highlighted the perseverance, resilience, and determination required to overcome societal and professional challenges.
Furthermore, Prof. Waseem Bari, Director of South Campus, addressed the audience and assured his commitment to making the campus a more women-friendly environment by fostering inclusivity, safety, and equal opportunities for all.
The event concluded with a collective pledge by attendees to continue working hard toward achieving their goals while promoting equality and empowerment. The celebration was marked by engaging discussions and enthusiastic participation of students, faculty members, and distinguished guests, making it a resounding success.
