SVEEP Activities Concludes at KU’S South Campus with Voter Run* 

Anantnag, May 21, 2024: The Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Process (SVEEP) campaign concluded with a spirited Voter Run at Varsity’s South Campus, Anantnag. The event was part of a nationwide effort to raise voter awareness and participation ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections for the 03- Anantnag-Rajouri parliamentary constituency on May 25, 2024. 
 
The run was organized under the tagline " **Let us see who reaches the polling station first to cast their vote* ."
 
The run saw overwhelming participation from both students and staff of the campus, reflecting their zeal and commitment to the democratic process. The event was inaugurated by Director, South Campus, Prof. Raies Ahmad Qadri, 
 
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Qadri reiterated the significance of voting, urging everyone to get their fingers inked and make their voices heard. 
 
He further highlighted the vital role that each vote plays in shaping the future of the country and urged the campus community to participate wholeheartedly in the world's largest democracy by casting their votes at their respective polling stations on May 25, 2024.
 
NSS Programme Officer, Tausif Ahmad Bhat, underscored the significance of voting and exercising democratic rights. He emphasized the importance of a higher voter turnout in the 3 Anantnag-Rajouri parliamentary seat and encouraged everyone to vote fully to ensure a robust democratic process.
 
Later, a glittering prize distribution ceremony was held, wherein, students were felicitated with medals and certificates by Prof. Raies Qadri.
