Teachers' Day Celebrated at Kashmir University's South Campus.
Anantnag, September 05: Kashmir University’s South Campus Anantnag on Monday celebrated Teacher’s day with great zeal, zest and enthusiasm.
The event was held in the Central Library, which was attended by over 100 participants including faculty, non-teaching staff, scholars and students from various departments.
The event was organised by the Assistant Dean Students welfare.
Director, South Campus, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad Khanday delivered introductory remarks vis-à-vis the importance of celebration of teacher’s day.
He underscored the contributions of teachers towards the shaping of students careers and channelization of their exuberant energies in the right direction to scale new heights in the field of academics.
He further lauded the strenuous efforts put in by the teachers of the Campus during the turbulent times of COVID-19 with an aim to ensure the quality teaching.
Director DIQA, Prof. Manzoor Ahmad Shah was a guest speaker on the occasion.
He highlighted the teacher’s role in enfolding the unfolded talent of the students thereby helping them to make their mark in every field of academics.
He also said that teachers are contributing to the corporate sector as well despite their hectic academic schedule.
He laid emphasis on quality teaching and urged the teachers to contribute to their best capacity.
Students from various departments also participated in the event and readout poetry and few of them glorified the role of teachers in assisting them to achieve their desired goals.
Assistant Dean Students Welfare and Convenor of the event, Dr. Javaid Iqbal Bhat gave a detailed account of the event and conducted the proceedings.
Later a prize distribution ceremony was held in the auditorium hall of the Central Library.
The teachers were felicitated with mementos and appreciation letters for rendering their services in the field of academics in particular and research in general.
